October marks the beginning of fall and despite the colder weather on the horizon, Omaha will be heating up thanks to some of music’s biggest names making a stop in our city over the next month!

 

To kick the month off there will be two great shows as the Stir Cove’s Summer Concert Series comes to an end. American folk rock heroes The Avett Brothers will be playing on Thursday, October 5th. On the following night (Friday, October 6th) – Matt Nathanson will open for the legendary Matchbox 20 as Stir Cove helps you close out the summer in unforgettable fashion.

 

The next week brings red dirt country favorites Eli Young Band  to Sokol Auditorium on Thursday, October 12th. If country isn’t your style, no worries – up and coming alternative rockers The Strumbellas will be playing at The Waiting Room on Friday, October 13th. And if rap is more your thing the always entertaining Hoodie Allen is coming back to Omaha on Monday, October 16th with a show at The Slowdown.

 

Two very different musical legends will be making stops in Nebraska the next week in Garth Brooks and Bob Dylan. Garth is back on tour and will be playing five shows at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Downtown Lincoln between Friday, October 20th and Sunday, October 22nd. The shows begin on Friday night at 7pm followed by shows at 3pm and 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. Bob Dylan will get the crowd feeling like a rolling stone on Monday, October 23rd at CenturyLink Center.

 

Academy of Country Music Award winner Thomas Rhett is going to be back in town on Friday, October 28th for a night that promises to be filled with sing along moments. Country favorites Old Dominion will be opening up for Rhett giving the show a dynamic pair of performers!
